One famous trainer has told me why athletes often have injuries. It`s not about dangerous sport or mistakes, it is all about the wrong stretch. Professional athletes often are lazy to do stretch, then pay a high price for it. Muscle are “torn” and pain can several days last.
If I write about sport, means has to write also about it. I`ve already mentioned about warm-up before trainings in one of previous post. I see that before holidays girls work hard in gym. I understand. They want to get into a new evening dress:) If you also try to burn calories in gym, I want to remind you once again of the correct stretch and show you how I do it.
How I do it: stretch a backbone standing, take a breath, then having smoothly moved hands forward, leave in “dog”position headed down, try to feel how vertebras fall into place, then alternate a deflection and fall on hands parallel to a floor.
