Kitchen mistakes which are poisoning us

In order to be healthy we need to know lots of stuff. Knowing what to eat and what not to eat is not enough. There are some nuances in nutrition which can poison us. So, check out our list.

1. Don’t heat up honey.

Right now, when it’s winter time, tea with honey is considered to be very useful. What’s so bad about it? It’s not sugar. But sugar is less harmful than heated up honey. The thing is that honey turns into poison when it is heated. That’s why I recommend you eat honey when you drink tea but avoid mixing them! You can also control this moment in the cafe when you are ordering a seasonal tea with ginger and lemon. Ask what was put into the tea.

2. Baking food in foil.

Fish baked in foil is a standard dinner of the healthy eating fan. But foil oxidizes on contact with food. Aluminum hydroxide doesn’t dissolve in water and stays in the body. It doesn’t mean that you should exclude this healthy dish and start frying everything. I just recommend you to buy glass casserole. The dish will get even better.

3. Fried nuts.

We all know that fried food is harmful. It happens because of the carcinogen release when the oil is heated. You may say “I don’t use oil to fry nuts”. But what are the nuts themselves? A real oil. And if you want to get maximum of your snack, don’t poison yourself and eat raw nuts! Don’t forget to wash them carefully before eating. Don’t fry nuts or seeds.

4. Using milk instead of boiling water.

We are not going to bring up the topic of not eating animal products at all. We are not talking about veganism. But one thing I will tell you and I am absolutely positive about it – it is not allowed to boil porridge on milk. Casein which the milk contains wipes out all use from the products you eat. The process intensifies when you heat up food. And even the most useful porridge becomes a useless sugar bomb.

5. The storage of canned food.

The usefulness of the canned food is a questionable thing. But we all eat such food from times to times do let’s see how to minimise the harm. If you have opened the can but haven’t eaten everything, it’s bad to put it like this back in the fridge! The oxidation will start. This process won’t change the taste of foot, but is harmful anyway. Don’t leave food in the can, put it into the glass one!

6. Soaking the cereals.

I think you’ve heard a plenty of times that you should soak the porridge. Someone thinks that it’s tastier or it’s a good way to wash the porridge. But I will reveal a secret why you need to do it. Porridges and nuts contain phytic acid which stops the normal vitamins absorption. When you soak the porridge you see that water is white. My congratulations, phytic acid is gone. Now you can cook your dish.
